Melissa has thoroughly enjoyed grooming for The Pet Spaw since 2017.

She studied Early Childhood Education and Psychology and graduated Miami University in 2000. Melissa then worked as a Preschool teacher for 15 years and worked with students with Autism for 4 years.

She has two amazing children, Zoe, 20, and Maya, 17, and they adopted their very first dog, Shemmie, in 2017.  Shemmie begged and begged her mom to ALSO be her groomer, and Melissa shares immense gratitude with Shemmie everyday for having encouraged her to find her new career!

Melissa is a quiet, patient and gentle groomer, and she has been practicing animal Reiki since 2014. Melissa looks forward each day to providing a safe, calm, love-filled space for her furry friends to not only enjoy their ‘neaten up’ but also to enjoy the many benefits of the calming, healing and aligning transference of energy integrated throughout their entire groom.
